The late Apostle Samuel Joseph Appiah Danquah whose mortal remains lay before us, was born on 15th November 1962 in Abura Gyabankrom by the late Madam Grace Imbeah aka Ama Asimekuwa and Mr. Kingsley Kwasi Boateng. He was affectionately called Wofa K K, the initials of his father’s name. His father named him after his uncle Mr. Martin Appiah Danquah the Cocoa Affairs Minister during President Kwame Nkrumah’s regime.
He started his Education at Abura Aseibu in the Central region, Egyirikrom and Abura Gyabankrom by with the help of his Uncle, the late Mr. Kojo Asimeku Imbeah who was then working with a Construction firm. The nature of his Uncle’s work, which kept him trekking often, seriously affected his education because he was continually repeating his classes. This unfortunate situation made his Uncle send him to his second Uncle, Mr. Paul Kofi Imbeah who was residing in Accra. He stayed with Uncle Paul and his Aunt, Paulina Imbeah, aka Aunty Ama, until completing his education from 1976 – 1983.
The late Apostle Samuel was employed as an Assistant Gas Attendant at the Engineering Unit of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour through Home Bible Classes which was being organised by his Uncle, Mr. Paul Kofi Imbeah, in 1984.
Later the same year, Rev. Dr.Robert Ampiah Kwoffie started “dawn broadcast” preaching in the area. Wofa KK after hearing him a couple of times got attracted to him and made a total commitment to follow Jesus.
The word of God carefully watered deep down his heart that he later decided to be a full time Evangelist. He resigned from his job as a Gas Attendant, to work with Rev. Dr. Robert Ampiah Kwoffie. They did some effective evangelism around Mamprobi, Korle-Bu and Laterbiokorshie. He also did evangelical work in some arears in Eastern and Volta Regions as well as in other churches in Accra. He was later invited by Reverend J. B. Padmore of the Fire Gospel Ministry (formerly known as Unction Faith Ministry) to assist him groom his church. It was there that he met his friend Doris Offeibea who later became his wife.Apostle Dr. Samuel Joseph Appiah Danquah completed his Master’s Degree in religious studies and worked meticulously to attain an Honorary Doctorate Degree from Summit Bible College, USA in the year 2004.
Apostle Dr. Samuel Joseph Appiah Danquah got married to his soulmate; Doris Offeibea Appiah Danquah on 21st December, 1991. A year later he founded his own ministry, God's Mission Miracle Chapel International in Mamprobi, Accra. He later moved and settled the Church in it own land in Weija in the Ga-South District of the Greater Accra Region.
Apostle Dr. Samuel Joseph Appiah Danquah was a man who feared God and never compromised with sin. He had great faith in God and was always tuned to the Holy Spirit. He was well known to be down-to-earth, a disciplinarian. He wasa powerful preacher who ministered with signs and wonders following.
He left behind a wife,3 sons: Joseph, Leslie, David and a beautiful daughter Dorcas.
The Abura Aboradze Abusia, his church and the Oyibi Community have lost a father, an uncle, a brother and a friend.
